My name is Jayden Schwieso. I am a Sunshine Coast based videographer, photographer, video editor, and filmmaker. I graduated from QUT in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts: Film, Screen and New Media, and specialised in editing.

I work full time at Australia Zoo as the 2IC of the audio-visual team, assisting in leading the production of the zoo’s YouTube channel of 795k subscribers through planning, shooting and editing. In just under two years in khaki, the videos I’ve completed have ammassed over three million views across social platforms, and I’ve gained experience working closely with the Irwin family.

In addition to leading the YouTube channel, I assist in operating the daily live show in the Crocoseum, shooting and editing wedding and proposal videography packages, and shooting special events such as the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner.

Outside of the zoo, I work as a freelance creative, offering videography, photography and video editing skills. I primarily work with musicians, making music videos, social media posts, and directing press photoshoots.

As I have a strong passion for documentary filmmaking, I also run my own YouTube channel called “wavelengths”, where I cover local emerging bands and showcase their unique personalities and creative processes.
